Max von Storch

Software Engineering

Max is a software engineer at Dryft, where he builds across the stack with a focus on front-end systems. He studies Informatics at the Technical University of Munich, with semesters at UC Berkeley and the Munich School of Philosophy, where he explored topics from AI to dialogical philosophy. He is also a scholar of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.

Before joining Dryft, Max gained experience across healthcare, AI, and logistics. At Avelios Medical (backed by Sequoia), he worked on hospital information systems; at TUM.ai, he developed modular recruitment tools and AI-driven utilities; and at Kuehne+Nagel, he built data pipelines for large-scale logistics operations.

He has also driven projects of his own. With his team, he developed Curava, a platform to standardize medical documents that won CDTM Hacks 2025 and was presented at OpenAI’s Munich office. He led the creation of OpenEU, a tool that makes EU activities and legislation more transparent for startups and policymakers, and founded Sailsetters, a student nonprofit with 70+ members focused on educational equality.

Outside of engineering, Max is passionate about music production, philosophy, and entrepreneurship. He enjoys collecting records and diving into politics, games, and film — bringing curiosity and creativity into both his work and his personal life.
